Power Overhaul

Power Overhaul provides regular solar maintenance, O & M, asset management and manufacturer warranty support for residential and small commercial photovoltaic arrays.

This project is an in-office data entry and analysis application. The user enters readings from the solar system meter which are then compared to expected monthly outputs based on system settings and attributes. Using this information the system is able to highlight months that may not be meeting expectations and signaling possible maintenance needs based on the compared output. The sytem generates a report that can can be automatically emailed to the customer to inform them that they should consider scheduling maintenance.

The application is currently for in-office use only, but after extensive testing and feature enhancements, the plan is to then license the service out to other solar system companies.

This web application was developed using MongoDB, ExpressJS, Angular 5, and NodeJS. The application utilizes the Auth0 third party authentication services. The client side routes are protected as well as the backend API endpoints.

In a future phase of the project, a client facing website for the company will be created with the potential to allow customers to create accounts so that they can monitor their system output in real-time.
